It’s the first time my family and I tried soup curry and we’re glad we tried them here. We ordered chicken, beef and sukiyaki(no photo). The sukiyaki one is the best among the three. I even ordered additional kakuni topping for my beef curry. But I realized it was not necessary. The bowl has a generous serving of meat and veggies already. I really like the veggies. They were pre-grilled and have that smoky flavor. They were still crunchy when they were served to us. I wish the rice serving was a bit bigger though.

The restaurant is quite hard to find as it is located in the basement of a building. However, the queue remains long, and we had to wait for almost two hours to get in. The taste of the food is very unique and unlike anything we have encountered at other Japanese restaurants. The curry is made with a variety of spices, resembling Southeast Asian cuisine, making it a perfect dish to enjoy in Sapporo during winter. The curry broth is creamy due to the addition of coconut milk and has adjustable spice levels ranging from 0 to 6. The guinea chicken is incredibly tender and juicy, pairing perfectly with the broth, warm white rice, and fried vegetables (broccoli and lotus root).
